PRAVEEN KUMAR B: - Born on September 28 in 1971 at Mangalore, taught himself the intricacies of drawing and painting following a deep interest in art and a necessity to express himself visually from a young age. His present works are mostly composed of cityscapes and studies of an urban skyline with towering masonry structures punctuated with arches, windows and pillars. Playing with horizontal and vertical planes, and contrasts in light, shade, and colour, Praveen shows a keen understanding of architecture in his paintings.

Originally from Mangalore, Praveen has held solo shows there as well as in Bangalore at the Chitrakala Parishath, Images art gallery and Lalit Kala Academy. He has participated in several group exhibitions including the All India Lokamanya Tilak art exhibition – Pune 2005 and 2006; and the Camlin Art Foundation show and Chitrasanthe in Bangalore in 2005. He has shown his work in Dubai.

At present he works as an artist and graphic designer, and also freelances in architectural design. He recently completed MVA in Jain Univercity of Visual Arts and lives in Bangalore
